Priory of Sant Pere
On June 26, 1852, Antoni Gaudí was baptized in this church. Built in the 16th century, in late Gothic style, it has a single nave flanked by small side chapels. According to what appears in the Book of Baptisms of the Priory, the architect received the names of Antoni, Plácid and Guillem. Although the original baptismal font is not preserved, in the first chapel, entering on the left hand side, a plaque remembers that the architect was baptized in this church. The following year, on September 10, 1853, Antoni Gaudí also received confirmation. This is the oldest church in Reus, and it is dedicated to the patron saint of the city: Sant Pere.
