The Sea Rescue
The Sea Rescue is an old shipwreck station located in the port of Sant Feliu de Guíxols. It was built in the s. XIX by the Spanish Society for the Salvage of Shipwrecked and is protected by a Cultural Asset of Local Interest.The place was used on different occasions; during the s. XVI and XVII as a place of quarantine for those affected by the plague, at the end of the s. XIX was used to help sailors and fishermen. Finally, during 1936 it was used as a civil refuge during the bombings.
Currently, it is part of the Sant Feliu de Guíxols History Museum dedicated to maritime salvage.
