The port of Blanes combines fishing with sport. The marina quay is run by the Blanes Sailing Club and has capacity for 309 moorings for boats up to twenty-four metres long. There is a petrol station, slipway and a dinghy hangar. The Club has a cafeteria and restaurant and a sailing school.
Approaching from the south, Blanes marks the start of the Costa Brava. Its harbour combines commercial fishing activity with recreational sailing. The dock where the marina is located has 320 moorings for boats up to 15 metres long and a draught of 2.5.Run by the Blanes Sailing Club, it has all the services for nautical activities, including a boatyard with Travel Lift for 50 tons and a 3-ton crane, 2 slipways for dinghies and 4 beacons with a range of up to 5 nautical miles. It also provides fuel and water supply electricity, changing rooms and bathrooms, mechanical workshops, 24-hour crewing service, and a suction point for grey, black and bilge waters with waste recycling.The Blanes Sailing Club has a social club with a café and restaurant, and offers the activities of its Sailing School, where highlights include the organisation of regattas for cruisers and dinghies in the Europa, 420 and Optimist classes.
