Francesca Bonnemaison Farriols,12 (Barcelona, April 12, 1872 - October 12, 1949) was a Spanish pedagogue and promoter of popular Catalan female education. She was patron and creator in 1909 of the Women's Popular Library, the first women's public library created in Europe, based in the Sant Pere neighborhood of Barcelona, which would be the core of what would later be known as the Institute of Culture and Women's Popular Library, colloquially called "the Culture". Currently in the building there is a cultural center with her name and a library of the Diputación de Barcelona.
