Main Parroquial Church
The arrival of people from the Montnegre in the Canet valley forced the construction of a new parish church. The building was built between 1579 and 1591 under the direction of Onofre Anrich, although the current church is the result of many renovations. The most important was between 1940 and 1946, when the entire cruise ship, which had fallen during the Civil War, had to be rebuilt.
On the façade, the most impressive part is the bell tower, 42 meters high, completed in 1805, which symbolizes the golden period of the Canetena marina. Architecturally it is very interesting, because it makes a careful treatment of geometric shapes.
