Els Hostalets dŽen Bas (La Garrotxa)

Els Hostalets d'en Bas came to life in the 18th century, starting with the Can Llonga hostal, and has a tidy labyrinth of traditional wooden houses with rows of balconies overflowing with flowers, making it one of the most highly photographed places in the region. The old road connecting Vic with Olot goes through a rustic little 18th century village starting at the Can Llonga hostel. This corner of the valley, catalogued as an Historical Artistic Site, has an ordered structure of traditional houses, all built of wood, set out in rows with the grace and charm of a tale. The balconies, full of colourful flowers and yellow corn cobs, seem to be greeting visitors. The original group of narrow lanes is one of the most photographed in the region, especially the Teixeda Street.
