This excursion combines a wealth of pleasurable experiences like no other: the trip up the mountain in the charming funicular, the magnificent view of the Engadin from the terrace of the Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl, and finally this enchanting panorama trail, which looks as if it has been conjured up by magic. It leads in a leisurely two-hour hike around the Schafberg, between mountain pines and past gnarled roots of Swiss stone pines. The climb up to the Alp Languard gets you a little out of breath – which provides you with the perfect excuse to stop off to enjoy a tasty slice of cake and the never-ending views. And possibly also a good excuse to take things easy and hop in the chair lift for the descent to Pontresina.
