Josephus Hubertus (Jos) Tonnaer (Thorn, March 7, 1852 - Sassenheim, March 20, 1929) was a Dutch architect and artist.Tonnaer was a student of Pierre Cuypers, the most important master builder of the 19th century. Between 1884 and 1886 Tonnaer was a superintendent in the construction of the Delft Hippolytus Church in Cuypers. After that he settled as an independent architect in Delft. Tonnaer designed Roman Catholic churches, monasteries and schools and some secular buildings. He also expanded existing churches and was involved in the interior of other churches.
