The "Plaza de Alfonso the Magnanimous" pays tribute to the great king who gave the Holy Grail to the Cathedral of Valencia. The Plaza de Alfonso "the Magnanimous" is characterized by the Parterre occupied its center and hosting the equestrian statue of Jaime I the Conqueror. This was placed in 1891 with the casting of five guns and a howitzer from the Castle of Peñíscola. We also find in this square a sculpture of Neptune, the work of Ponzanelli.
