El Capricho is a small but dazzling structure, outlandish by local standards with its sunflower motifs, red and yellow bricks and rounded form. Note the extremely Gaudi built-in, wrought-iron balcony benches that face inwards so you gaze lovingly at the building, not at the countryside around.Another feature that's bears mention is that the house, designed for a wealthy single man (Maximo Diaz de Quijano), has main rooms planned to maximise sunlight, with his bedroom on the east side, his conservatory on the south and his salon on the west side.
