Potes. Torre del Infantado.Museo

Between the rivers Deva and Quiviesa, at the exact spot where they meet, where you can hear the roar of fresh water coming from the springs of the Picos de Europa, the Infantado tower rises up with dignity and pride. The Torre del Infantado was Liébanabastion against invaders.Inside the 1.800m2 of this medieval building, and within its fortified walls, you now find the permanent exhibition of Beato de Liébana, an abbot of the Saint Toribio of Liébana monastry, who lived, and wrote his comments on Saint John's book of revelation, in the VIII century. The central patio determines the distribution of the space and allows the visitor to contemplate the tower's six floors.Fine woods, steel and illuminated areas dominate the interior giving light to the masterful recreation of the Middle Ages, which is perfectely combined with the latest technology. The visit ends with the magnificent and stunning views from its crenellated tower.

Great capture of this lovely painting, which looks just like I'd imagine a town there to look like. V.
