Poschiavo, capital of the southern Grisons valley of the same name, boasts a typically Italian architectural character which is of national significance. Noteworthy is the so-called «Spaniolenviertel», quarter with villas built by wealthy returning emigrants.The small town of Poschiavo has a typically Italian architectural character with stone-roofed patrician houses dating from the 16th to 19th centuries. The central Plaza da Cumün is bordered by the late-Gothic San Vittore Church with its Romanesque tower, the Oratorio Sant’Anna with ossuary, the baroque Santa Maria Presentata Chapel and the town hall with its former fortified tower.
