Town Hall
The large town hall is the dominating building at the Market square. It was erected 1472-80 by Nickel Steinbach under the influence of Arnold von Westfalen's innovative architecture at the Albrechtsburg castle.Most impressive is maybe the huge roof with 5 floors height. The wooden framework is almost completely preserved. Amazing 50,000 roof-tiles in historic rhombic shape were manufactured to replace the old original ones.
