Haarlem Architecture

Haarlem has a population of about 150,000 citizens (and 180,000 bicycles!). It is a capital province city, a capital court city, and a capital diocese city. Therefore, Haarlem has a lot of government officials and administrators. 30% of the current employment in Haarlem is related to the status of province capital. Haarlem lacks a university, student life can be found in Amsterdam. After graduation and finding a job, a lot of students move from Amsterdam to Haarlem to settle down. Citizens of Haarlem are nicknamed mosquitos, nobody knows exactly why. In 2012 Haarlem was declared best Dutch city with more than 100,000 citizens to live in by Elsevier magazine, and in 2013 Haarlem was declared best Dutch city to work in by Intermediair magazine.

A very interesting angle. Nice reflections in the windows. The light suspended in the sky provides a nice accent!
