The River Fluvią crosses Olot with the course forming part of the Volcanic Area of La Garrotxa. It splits the county in two:
The Alta Garrotxa and the Olot plain, located to the south of the Fluvią. It has been and continues to be one of the engines to industrialisation and has a clear presence in town life, since its refreshing course offers up flowery landscapes as well as a series of workshop and factory faēades using water as a real engine.
There are marvellous spots around the River Fluvią such as Sant Roc or Els Prats de la Mandra, two spaces located in urban areas but perfectly in tune with natural environments.
