It is a Renaissance-style aqueduct, built between 1537 and 1558 by French architect Fifth Pierres Vedel. It began as I indicated in 1537 but soon, due to the economic cost of the work, its construction was stopped, restarting in 1551. This aqueduct had a double mission: Bring water from the source of the Rock Macho to the city and as a bridge to the outside of the wall and so itīs an aqueduct and viaduct. It consists of two levels, the upper six arches and the bottom two.
