Teruel. El Viaducto Viejo

The Old Viaduct
The Old Viaduct or the Fernando Hue viaduct was designed by the engineer Fernando Hue de la Barrera and built in 1929 to help facilitate the urban expansion of Teruel to the south, where now stands the peripheral housing development, in addition to its communication with the lands of Valencia across the road Burgos-Sagunto. It was one of the civil engineering works of early twentieth century, one of the most important of Spain. Its construction took at least seven years due to economic hardship, and the road was baptized with the name of the Queen Christina Avenue.
