On the terrace of La Pedrera, Gaudí deploys all his creative and expressive ability, transforming this area, wich at the start of the 20th century was hardly considered when planning a building, into a universe of shapes, silhouettes and original textures that transcend architecture and become an artistic work in its own right. From a formal point of view, the architect´s first intention was that the terrace would top the building in harmony with the undulating rhythmus that characterize the façade
