The Patio Façades
The interior of La Pedrera is structured around two spacious central patios that are interlinking, but have different shapes and dimensions.The one in Passeig de Gràcia, which is cylindrical, occupies a surface are of 90 square metres, while the one in Provença street, of elliptic outline, measures 150 square metres. Gaudí designed them as a centre of communication, positioning the main floor and mezzaine staircases around its perimeter.
