Gaudí transformed traditional chimneys into suggestive and evocative sculptural structures. They are constructed with pieces of brick forming a vault and later rendered over with mortar. They are organised into seven groups, coming to a total of 30 vents. They rise up surrounding the patios eliminating the fimes from the kitchens and flats and the heating boilers in the basement. Although all answer the same concept, some are individual and others comprise a group of two, four, five, six or eight. They have an ochre color finish.
