The anteroom
The first room on the main floor near to the staircase originating from the mezzaine, the anteroom carries out the role of general vestibule for the floor and hallway for the rooms on the north-west and south-east corridors.Gaudí used the rooms running parallel to the main façade on the main floor for the reception of guests.With wide rooms overlooking Nou de la Rambla Street this passage acts as transiction between the honorary staircase and the central hall, the backbone of the palace.The windows of the anteroom are decorated with stained glass with characters from Shakespeare.
