On the occasion of St. Patrick’s Day, the magnificent Brussels Grand Place was lit in green as part of Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening Initiative, in partnership with the Embassy of Ireland Brussels. The Brussels Grand Place joined iconic landmarks taking part in the Global Greening such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the London Eye, Niagara Falls, the TV tower in Berlin’s Alexanderplatz, the Princes Palace in Monaco, Table Mountain in South Africa, and the Sydney Opera House, which were all be lit in green as St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated around the world.
