Clock tower with pinnacles and sculptures by Pablo Gargallo Eusebi Arnau
The shield is located in the middle of the main facade of the administration building : it is an evolution of the shield original ancient hospital of Santa Cruz , following the same guidelines iconographic , although the former does not was crowned the angels that flank were kneeling . It Eusebi Arnau and is located within a circle under a blind arcade . The circle is decorated with blue and yellow mosaic imitating the celestial sphere upon which highlights the coat tails bars and worked profusely inlaid with gold . Above the shield, royal crown and the sides, two winged figures representing Aesculapius , with a helmet and a stick with a coiled snake , and Hippocrates the father of medicine that carries the book of life. They are located on pillars representing the axis of the world
