The central body of the main facade is structured as if it were an altarpiece in three vertical streets separated by four pilasters , stone to brick first floor and the rest in three levels.
On the lower level there are three arched entrances with peraltats Archivolt decorated with blue and white tiles with the initials " P " and " G " that allude to his patron (Pau Gil), the cross of the original hospital , the four bars of the Catalan flag . These iconographic elements are repeated in different parts of the site and especially in this building.
The arches are supported on triple stone columns which are attached to four large stone sculptures , a kind of Wagnerian angels in the form of Hermes melt in the same architecture , by Gargallo , representing the three theological virtues Christian : Faith , Hope, and Charity Works that must necessarily accompany our virtues .
