You enter Rothenburg ob der Tauber from the east through this Gate. It was formerly a toll gate with sentry houses on the sides. As the main entrance is for cars, pedestrians have a walkway to the left of the Gate. You will also see the bridge over a moat and the Roder Tower which is open daily to allow a climb up the stairs for a vista of the town.
