Founded in 1994 as a private initiative, This Museum of the Chocolate has an extensive heritage belonging to the Industrial phase of the city and the region. This took place during the 19th century as a result of the muleteer and the transport of goods between Galicia and Madrid.The arrival of cocoa originated a budding industry because not only the preparation of chocolate, but also the proper equipment and the printing press for the advertising of different factories.All this material has been picked up by the owner and director of the Museum, forming a unique Spain collection and the second European. Inside can be seen from primitive rocks dough cocoa or manual descascarilladoras, but within the same machinery already the development of industrialization of the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th when it begins the phase of decline.The upper floor contains various collections of cromos-regalo of the chocolate makers, as well as a large selection of plates and lithographic printmaking rocks used for printing
