Road between Purmerend and Hoorn

We went from Martha's , who lives at Koog aan de Zaan, near Amsterdam, via Purmerend and Hoorn to the 'Afsluitdijk'which spans some 30 km between North Holland and Frisia

Before we were on the Afsluitdijk, we had to wait for the bridge near Den Oever. The weather was fine, like thw whole day !! Beautiful skies.

Suddenly we were standing be4 an open bridge, which is avery common practice in Friesland, due to the heavy water traffic.

We started our walk near the Nederlands Hervormde Kerk, situated at Eegracht
