Biblical Museum in Amsterdam is housed in two stately houses on the Herengracht designed by 17th century architect Philips Vingboons. They were built in 1662 for the merchant Jacob Kromhout.
In the mid 19th century it became in use as a biblical museum. Beginning of the museum was theplace for a scale model of the Tabernacle, built by the reverend ds. Leendert Schouten.
