These digital paintings were done on a Mac G4 using Corel™ Painter® 7, 8, and IX programs and a Wacom® tablet. They are original digital paintings (with one exception, Canna, which is a cloned personal digital photo). Most of these paintings started out as sketches; either done directly on the computer or done with a conventional pencil and paper and then scanned into the computer. The basic sketches were then overpainted with a variety of digital media includng oils, acrylics, watercolors, chalks, and airbrushes. Coriel's powerful Painter program features a wide variety of brushes and virtual paper/canvas "surfaces" to use. This process is much like conventional painting-without the mess and expense!
