These digital paintings were done on a G4 Macintosh using Corel™ Painter® IX program and a Wacom® tablet.
Most of these paintings started out as sketches; either done directly on the computer or done with a conventional pencil and paper and then scanned into the computer. The basic sketches were then overpainted with a variety of digital media includng oils, acrylics, watercolors, chalks, and airbrushes-all within the computer. Coriel's powerful Painter program features a wide variety of brushes and virtual paper/canvas "surfaces" to use. This process is much like conventional painting-without the mess and expense!
