These shells were collected by the natives for a "European" buyer who promised to return to Fauro Island and pay USD 200.00 each provided they collected a "container load". That was over a year ago. This photo shows around 10% of the shells I saw lined up neatly on the beach. I asked if this persons name was John Frum but they couldn't recall.....
