I've been neglecting my PAD (photo a day).
I put my camera aside as I try to get some old family photo's scanned in before Christmas.
We are a large family and Christmas is one of those rare times we all are together, which would make a good time to hand out the original slide, negatives, prints and of course the DVD of them.
It's been very time consuming. The varied sizes of the negatives and slides make for some work & time scanning each one in.
Today has been bittersweet. It's the anniversary of Dad's passing (6 December 1981) and woudn't you know it, some of the negatives where of him during his time in the navy during WWII.
I did not plan it that way, it just so happen they were in the pile. The fun part is seeing Dad looking so young and playful.
So getting back to the PAD. I thought I would take a picture of the different kinds of film I'm scanning in. There are even a few odd sizes not shown here.
Over all, it's been like opening a present each time the scanner finishes a scan, never knowing what/who the negative is of till it's done. There have been some fun surprises!
