Come along to the Riverstage and hear your opera favourites: Puccini, Mozart, Bizet, Mascagni, Wagner, Verdi - live!
Plus throw in a dash of Bernstein, Sondheim and a couple of musical theatre favourites for good measure. There's absolutely nothing like the live experience and you can enjoy the cream of the opera and music world without it costing you a cent!


As a spectacular finale to ENERGEX Brisbane Festival 2002, you'll hear a classic mix of solos, duets, choral and orchestral numbers. Internationally acclaimed baritone, Jeffrey Black, soprano, Leanne Kenneally, leading Queensland tenor, Kanen Breen and mezzo, Irene Waugh, all join The Opera Queensland Chorus and The Festival Orchestra*, conducted by Werner Andreas Albert. Compered by G&S 'patter man' Dennis Olsen, the night ends with the city skyline ablaze with fireworks. Bring a picnic, a rug and the whole family to the City Botanic Gardens for a night with the stars!
