Jewish Cemetery In Warsaw

The Jewish Cemetery at Okopowa Street in Warsaw. It is one of the very few in Poland to have survived World War II.
Founded in 1806, the cemetery contains the remains of approximately 250,000 people. There are over 200,000 marked graves, as well as mass graves of victims of the Warsaw Ghetto.
It is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in Europe.
The cemetery belongs to the Jewish Community of Warsaw and is the only Jewish burial place in Warsaw where there are still about 20-25 burials a year.
