It was erected at a record pace of 12 months.
It was designed by Karol Korn, a famous local architect, who has been inspired by post office architecture in Austria at that time.
The building is topped with its characteristic dome with the clock and the statues of Jupiter and Mercury.
The post office still operates in this building, through all those years.
