Port de Pollenca is a small town, the most northern end of Mallorca.
It is located at the edge of the beautiful bay of Pollenca (Badia de Pollenca), protected by two peninsulas: of Formentor and of Alcudia.
Port de Pollenca is a former fishing village that became a popular resort, especially among the British tourists.
Agatha Christie contributed to its popularity with a story "Problem at Pollensa Bay", written during a stay at the Hotel Illa d'Or 1932.
The beach is quite narrow, but long enough to accommodate the numerous tourists.
