The parish church in Montuïri is placed at Plaça Major, on a small hill in the very center of the medieval village.
This building was constructed in the 14th century, and dedicated to Sant Bartomeu.
It is an impressive example of Gothic architecture, and its 32-metre high bell tower can be seen from afar.
The church of Sant Bartomeu is built on a plateau of stones. The 12-step stairway that leads you to the main entrance, was built in 1813, and is known as “Es Graons“.
The side wall has the category of main facade and main entrance to the church, with a portico from 1646, crowned by a medallion with the coat of arms of the town.
