The first church of St. James (Sant Jaume) was built in 14th century, but it partially collapsed in 1870, due to torrential rains and its poor condition.
The church that we can see today is the result of reconstruction, in neo-Gothic style and was consecrated in 1893.
The construction of the bell tower began in 1568, but was stopped in 1704 and it remained unfinished.
Above the main entrance, there is a large rose window stone, made by a sculptor native to Alcúdia, LLorenc Ferrer Marti.
At the top there is a small bell with the crest of the town of Alcúdia.
