Roman snail (Helix pomatia), escargot, edible snail - is a large land snail living mostly in Eastern and Central Europe.
Poland is one of the biggest exporters of Roman snails to France, where they are very popular in cuisine use. In Polish cuisine they are not popular, though.

Excellent detail and composition. How interesting that Poland is a big exporter of these snails to France. Now, I finally know what escargot looks like in Nature. I often wondered. Very pretty shell.
