Christmas cactus, how I marvel at your name
Flowering for the holidays is much to tame
But rewarding, as your blooms do yield
No cutting, nor prickly spine, to wield
Pinks and reds, yellows, purples and whites
Colors of festivities and Feliz Navidad nights
What a greenhouse southern hemisphere charm
Awaiting our return from the Christmas tree farm
Sitting on a table next to the Christmas Goose
Or hanging from a balcony, making everything loose
Christmas Trees and Cacti or Cactus's or Tris
Forgive this play on plurals, may not be so wise
Cacti blooming in this merry month of December
A traditional Christmas tree is easier to remember
But when the tree is gone and January brings its gloom
The Christmas Cactus waits, for Easter, soon to bloom
