Unique Phenomenon

Warsaw, Poland

The longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century has taken place tonight - Friday, July 27, 2018.

The total phase of the "blood moon" eclipse lasted 1 hour and 43 minutes, during which Earth's natural satellite turned a spectacular red or ruddy-brown color.
From start to finish, the entire celestial event lasted nearly 4 hours.

How nice Jola, you were lucky to see it. In Hungary it was cloudy. V

I was out of bed to watch it at 4.28am, it was wonderful to see Mars, ever so red right alongside and not a cloud in the sky. Dear friends of ours had a new granddaughter born on the eve of the blood moon and they named her Abigail Grace :)

Very cool, hope you enjoyed watching it! I don't think I ever saw a blue moon.
