It is located in a grand Viennese palace in the Neoclassical style, built in 1744.
Baroque "Danubius Fountain" also called the "Albrecht Fountain" was erected at the end of the 1860s in front of the Albertina building.
A monumental equestrian statue of Archduke Albrecht was erected in 1899 by Emperor Franz Joseph I.
