Rolling Hills Asylum

Located in East Bethany, NY and formerly known as the Genesee County Poor Farm. It was built in 1826 to house the poor, TB patients, orphans, the insane, elderly, and physically and mentally handicapped. It closed down in the mid 1970's. It is reportedly one of the most haunted places in the United States.

My grandmother worked there and in the late 60's early 70's I went there with my church and sang Christmas Carols. I have never forgot the feeling I got when I was there as a small child. Erie indeed.
