Funny story: Back in the mid 80's in DC I volunteered to help with Thanksgiving Dinner at a homeless shelter. I was asked to bring a carving knife because turkey carvers were needed. So I rode on the Metro with my brother in law and we both had wrapped up knives in shopping bags. We'd probably be arrested if we did that now.
