British Columbia declared a public health emergency in 2016 because of opiod-related overdose deaths. There have been 7,000 overdose deaths in the province since then. I now agree with those who advocate legalizing possession and providing a safe supply.

I’m surprised to see they do this job with their bare hands although they use a kind of pincers.

the sight of the the locale smacks of danger and dissolution...commendable to collect the needles, yet hopefully the addicts are also rounded up for treatment..
