Rochester, NY

Robert lived in Stockholm, Sweden as a child after his mother married a Swed. He is from the Bronx and moved to Rochester because he needed a change of location to leave some of his troubles in New York City behind. He carries scars on his face from his past struggles.

You can see it in the eyes to some extent; past struggle but future hope. I would never have guessed the Stockholm angle though. That probably wasn't the easiest of times if he was born in the Bronx. A very large number of Swedes that tourists encounter do speak English but locally they would speak Swedish which I doubt is the easiest language for someone with an English background to pick up.
