Mysterious image! I like how the light sort of forms a tree in the middle of the street, between the real trees.

A very strong feeling of isolation in this moody capture. They snow in the road really adds wonderful light in this winter capture. A simple concept that is beautiful and so easy to relate to. Voted+

I like this street perspective looking into infinity. I also like the way you have used the light and shadows to change the mood. Well done, Julie.VVV

You have definitely captured a feeling of winter here. I especially like that the falling snow is visible around the lights and the single set of tread marks on the road, meaning most everybody is tucked away in their warm houses. V.

A scene that crys "Winter!" ~V~

Somehow I'd forgotten that it's actually winter over there, probably because I've been hearing of the 20-something degree C temperatures that the east coast was having last week. I just looked at the weather for your home town and it was -1F at midnight (speaking of which, what are you doing up at this time of night?) so nature seems to be more or less back in balance except for those storms in the panhandle. The four things that I really like about this image; 1, the fact that there's just enough light to illuminate the street but not enough to illuminate the full background, leaving a slight aura of menace beyond the street; 2, the halo of snow / sleet around the lights, especially the nearest one; 3, the tyre tracks in the snow doubling the effect of the street being a leading line; and 4, the illuminated window mid frame on the left, which almost serves as a place of visual refuge from the cold and dark.
