Rochester, NY

Ontario Beach Park's Dentzel Menagerie Carousel built in 1905. It has been operating at the park since that time. It is one of fourteen antique carousels still operating in the United States. The photo isn't as sharp as I would like, but I decided to post it anyway.

That reminds me that I need to get a shot of the one at Darling Harbour which predates this one by about 10 years, but I need a wider angle lens than I have to do it. I think you've nailed the right view for this subject. Given the necessary distortion I'm not sure that the sharpness was as important here.

I don't think a photo like this need to be sharp. Beautiful carousel. Great use of the fish eye. Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh has a real old one like this too. V

What a fantastic way to capture the feeling and excitement of a moving carousel. The distortion of the lens and the exposure are spectacular Julie. Voted+
