Cocoy, with your budget in mind, I suggest you buy a point and shoot cam that's very good, like the latest in Sony Cybershot series, somewhere around P10-15k with a 5megapixel resolution and up. Look it up in their website and you will have lots of choices. Check the Canon G series if they have lowered their rates too. Unfortunately, it's somewhere between P20-P35k, and we're talking about point and shoot cams yet. :-) When you have practiced well, and you are good and ready, you can aim for the DSLR cams. You have to love the craft like we all do. Happy shooting!

I really love the "Sun Bathing Butterfly" and "Solace" shots. I'm actually planning to buy a camera (can't afford a DSLR type), and my budget is around 10-12k ... do you have any camera to recommend?
