Ship Wrecks Port Cranes

In the early hours of Saturday morning the Zhen Hua 23 ship which was moored at The Port of Felixstowe in Suffolk, slipped her moorings in the very high winds. This resulted in two port side cranes being totally demolished, and another, very badly damaged. The ship then run aground and was having to be supported by three tugs.
On Saturday evening at high water the vessel was refloated by four tugs and moved to its original mooring. The later photographs shows clearly how far the vessel had moved and the wrecked cranes can be seen clearly in one big heap! The crane next to it was what it originally looked like.
The ship had originally sailed from Shanghai with the new cranes, these are to be unloaded at Felixstowe to replace old outdated cranes. Fortunately, the crane which was wrecked was due to be decommissioned. The best news is that no one was injured in this unfortunate accident.
